Benchmark lowered the firm’s price target on Roku to $105 from $115 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Putting out a strong Q1 result and “technically soft” Q2 platform guidance was “probably what Roku needed the least,” says the analyst, who notes that “shares inevitably traded lower after hours on the guide, which we noted was going to be tricky against a much tougher comp.” Roku “apparently remains firmly in the show-me camp,” but the firm thinks there is “growing evidence that Roku is a must-advertise platform,” the analyst added.
