Reports Q1 revenue $7.67B, consensus $7.24B. Higher first-quarter 2024 adjusted results were driven by improved weather and favorable rate case impacts along with growth from riders and other retail margin. These items were partially offset by higher interest expense, the company said. “We had a strong start to the year and I’m proud of the momentum we’ve generated this quarter. We have a clear path forward that will deliver sustainable value and 5% to 7% earnings growth over the next five years,” said Lynn Good, Duke Energy chair and CEO.
