At the recent Annual General Meeting, HSBC Holdings plc announced favorable poll results for the majority of proposed resolutions, with shareholders supporting key directorial elections and special resolutions, including authorization for the company to repurchase its own shares. A shareholder-requisitioned resolution was notably defeated, aligning with the Board’s recommendation. Additionally, the AGM marked the retirement of David Nish from the Board, succeeded by Ann Godbehere as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director.
