Evercore ISI analyst Michael Montani lowered the firm’s price target on Dollar General to $158 from $165 and keeps an In Line rating on the shares. Enhanced store experience “doesn’t come cheap,” says the firm, which trimmed its calendar 2024 EPS estimate to $7.20 with better topline offset by gross margin pressure. Dollar General is “on the right track with its back to basics focus,” but margin recovery takes time and constrains the risk reward, the analyst tells investors.
