Rio Tinto has announced the appointment of Bold Baatar as the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), succeeding Alf Barrios who will retire by the end of 2024. Baatar will oversee global commercial activities, including sales, marketing, and logistics, and will continue his involvement with the Simandou project in Guinea. The leadership change is aimed at driving the company’s strategy for disciplined growth and creating shareholder value, with a focus on reaching net zero emissions.
