Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners (TSE:BEP.UN) has released an update.
Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners reported a robust first quarter with record financial results, an 8% increase in Funds From Operations (FFO) to $296 million, and a forward-looking agreement with Microsoft to deliver 10.5 gigawatts of renewable energy. The company’s development activities are on track to add approximately 7,000 megawatts of new capacity this year, contributing to a strong growth trajectory. Despite a net loss attributable to unitholders of $120 million due to non-cash expenses, Brookfield Renewable is well-positioned to deliver its target FFO growth and maintain a strong balance sheet with $4.4 billion in liquidity.
